Porsches & Propellers HPDE
October 3rd & 4th, 2020 at La Junta Raceway
The Alpine Mountain Region Porsche Club will close the 2020 driving season with a High-Performance Drivers Education event at La Junta Raceway. We expect beautiful early fall weather at our HPDE. La Junta’s 1.3-mile 7 turn track is the perfect track for intermediate and experienced drivers alike! It’s low 4000-foot elevation will enhance the power of your sports car. Come spend the weekend in La Junta and enjoy the comradery with your fellow Porsche Club members.
Your priority in being confirmed for an event will depend on the date and time you register. Be sure to register early. Registration closes Monday September 28. All drivers will be Waitlisted upon registration until the event CDI confirms your solo driving status. Whether or not you will be allowed to participate in this event will be at the sole discretion of the AMR CDI Committee.
Saturday and Sunday the gates open at 7:00 AM - Mandatory Driver Meeting at 8:00 AM
Hot coffee and snacks will be served!

NOTE: This Event will be using Deferred Billing. If you are paying with a credit card, it will not be charged until registration closes.

IMPORTANT: Due to the current coronavirus CDC and government mandates on social distancing, this event will be an Advanced/Solo Driver only event. No instruction will be available. LOTS of track time! Black, Orange, and previous solo Blue group drivers will be accepted. Instructed Blue/Green drivers will be considered on a case-by-case basis. All attendees will be required to follow Federal, State, and Local Government CDC COVID 19 guidelines including but not limited to the use of hand sanitizer, wearing of masks, and sanitation procedures. In compliance with State of Colorado guidelines and to ensure our members' safety, we must maintain social distancing. It is a requirement that all participants wear a facemask while outside their vehicles. PLEASE ARRIVE AT THE EVENT WITH A MASK FOR EACH PARTICIPANT. Extra hand sanitizer, disposable gloves, trash baskets, disposable face masks and cleaners/disinfectants will be available at the event, but please bring your own. Participants and volunteers should stay at home if they are at higher risk for severe illness, or if they are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, must stay home.

Event Requirements
You must be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license to participate in this event. Your driver’s license will be checked!
National PCA membership number and membership status will be verified as part of the registration process. If you do not include a valid PCA membership number (or forward a pending membership confirmation from PCA to the registrar), a $10 non-member fee will be assessed.
You need to have a Snell-certified SA2010 or M2010 or newer helmet. Your helmet will need an RMR/PCA sticker. Please bring your helmet to your Tech Inspection to be checked and signed off. You will need to wear either cotton long pants and a cotton shirt (long-sleeve or short-sleeve) or FIA or SCI approved racing garments while driving. In addition, you must wear closed toe shoes.
Roll bars or cages are mandatory for all open & semi-open cars without manufacturer’s structural or deploying roll over protection. No trucks, or non-Porsche SUVs.
If you have added a racing-type seat in order to use 5-point, 6-point or 7-point harnesses, you must also have and use a Head and Neck Restraint (HANS) device. PCA Rules are harness expiration dates: 2 years (SFI) and 5 years (FIA)
TECH Inspection – Tech inspection must be completed within 4 weeks prior to the event. We highly recommend getting your required Tech Inspection by a professional mechanic and no later than 2 weeks before the event and in case you need time to make repairs. Please make sure you have your tech inspection form filled out and signed by a valid tech inspector/shop.
