Saturday and Sunday, May 6th & 7th should be on your calendars for the 2023 Loess Hills Run to Sioux City. Leaving from the Machine Shed/Hotel Renovo on Saturday morning, we'll drive west on scenic Hiway 44 to the Loess Hills in western Iowa. After a stop for lunch, we'll hustle up the Byway's thrilling twists and turns thru the hills and valleys to arrive at the Marriott Riverfront Hotel in South Sioux City, NE in time to check into our rooms and gather in the bar to watch the Kentucky Derby. After that, we'll move to the Highlands Room at Kahill's Chop House for a private evening of great food, beverage and fellowship.
Sunday morning offers a return to Central Iowa by taking either the express route (Interstates 29 and 80) or the scenic route by going back down the Byway when it's virtually deserted. The Loess Hills Scenic Byway is on the United States Registry of Scenic Byways and one of our most popular drives of the season, that has been enjoyed by Schoneslanders since 2009. These roads are MADE for Porsches!
A block of 30 rooms has been reserved under "Schonesland Region Porsche Club" with a mixture of king and double queen rooms on the river side and the parking lot side. The easiest way to reserve your room is to click on the link below, which will take you right to our block of rooms. OR, you may call the Hotel directly at 402-494-4000 (option 1) to reserve your room. There is a 48-hour cancellation policy. Get em while they're hot! The registration deadline is SATURDAY, APRIL 15th.

We will meet in the Hotel Renovo lobby. Please respect the hotel property as we appreciate their allowing us to meet there and for the safety of Schonesland members and their hotel guests.
Please arrive at the Hotel Renovo lobby with a full tank of gas by 7:30 AM to sign waivers and be assigned to a run group . If you have a passenger or driver under age 18, you'll need both parents' signatures on a special waiver form.
Driver's meeting begins at 8 AM sharp with the first group scheduled for an 8:30 departure, followed by subsequent groups at 15 minute intervals.
