About this event
After a successful first first year of running private track and testing days, we're excited to keep it going through 2024! The core goals of these events will remain...
- Open and Safe Track for Advanced Dundon Motorsports Drivers: Dundon drivers in the PNW have incredible track machines and the ability to really stretch out their legs has been a challenge at most “normal” track day events. Dundon Motorsport advanced HPDE/Track Day drivers will have a dedicated run group, with an open track and open passing with a point by.
- Open and Safe Track for Advanced Race Training/Simulations: Several racers and especially Racer on Rails supported drivers are looking to find those final chunks of time for qualifying, race pace and even in mixed/wet conditions. This is a safe and structured environment for licensed race car drivers, in fully equipped race cars and safety equipment to push themselves and their cars to new limits and work on scenarios that are near impossible to practice in normal track/HPDE days and race weekends.
Rainy Day Curriculum: We aren't just hoping the PNW weather will be with us for most of these days, we're doing our rain dance! If and when we have rained out conditions, we will be holding a car control curriculum with drills in the paddock and on-track, so that we can make the most of a significantly lower grip conditions. If the conditions are full dry, we will default to our normal open track/race weekend simulations schedule.
What: The absolute highest value and best bang for your buck track experience for advanced HPDE/Track Day and Race Car drivers.
- Ted Anthony Jr., Jamie Bopp, Memo Calderon, Gama Aguilar and the full Racer on Rails crew will be on-hand to answer track, setup, driving questions
- NO RACING: For all drivers, there will be zero tolerance for contesting corners or any kind of aggressive passing. Insurance liability is the biggest thing – these events can only happen if we stay away from contact with other cars.
Who:
- Dundon Motorsports Open Track Group: Invited Dundon Motorsports Drivers in street or race cars (not active racing competitors in race cars)
- Race Cars: Fully licensed active racing drivers in fully equipped race cars with fully safety gear active and working
- Note: Cars that are working out mechanical issues can participate only in the Free Practice sessions. In the interest of the learning goals for the qualy and race simulations, race cars with suspected mechanical issues will not be allowed to participate. You get two, 45 minute sessions to get the car working properly.
