Save-the-Date and plan to join in the fun of our inaugural Time Speed Distance (TSD) Rally on Sunday September 23 following a mid-island course. This is a team event where each car has a driver and a navigator and driver and navigator may swap between rally legs. It will be a family friendly event on paved public roadways operating at/near posted speed limits.
This is the first of what we hope will become an annual event. It is suitable for sports cars and four door Porsches. Our objective is to have fun and we have very experienced rally drivers/instructors to show us the way.
The Rally Info Session is Sunday August 12, 10:00 am at the upstairs board room of Quality Foods in Eagle Creek Village (where coffee and cars is held). Free and no registration required for this. This is open to all VIRPCA members who want to learn more about rallying and meet the organizers to ask questions.
For registered drivers and their navigators we will hold a Rally School where you will learn your route and how to navigate effectively. You will receive instruction and have the opportunity to learn from our experienced rally driver instructors.
The Mid Island Rally School is Sunday September 2 in the Sawmill Pub, 3055 Oak St, Chemainus. No-host lunch at 11:30 and school begins at 12:00 noon.
The South Island Rally School is Sunday September 16 in the upstairs board room of Quality Foods in Eagle Creek Village (where coffee and cars is held)
The rally will start near Mill Bay and the end will be near Duncan. There will three short legs allowing time to chat between and learn from our instructors led by rally enthusiast/expert Klaus Kreye (below).
Because you will be timed as you pass certain check points along the route, removable numbers will be affixed to your car for the event. These wil not damage the finish. You might even want to name your team!
After the rally we will meet for lunch.
The rally cost is $40 per car. Drivers and navigators will purchase their lunch after the rally.

Attend the Sunday August 12th rally info session in the Victoria area. Place and time TBA.
For drivers and navigators there will also be a mid-island rally school session on September 2 and a south island school on September 16. You will learn the route and receive instruction and have the opportunity to learn from our experienced rally driver instructors.
