This is your opportunity to discover the joys of Performance Driving!

A PDX event provides the unique opportunity to bring your car on a real track.

Do you want to improve your driving skills? Come for instruction from trained instructors, who happen to be race car drivers themselves.

And if you just like cars, go ahead and register.  We'll get you started as a volunteer.  One BIG benefit is you can take your car on track in the afternoon session, and even have an instructor ride along (no cost!)  So scroll down and click continue to register as a volunteer.  And if you want to drive, read on and also continue.

Fee:  SCCA members:  $150; Non-members are $170 (including weekend membership)

You get a full day on the track, classroom and instructor ride-along (advanced drivers can request this but it's not required)

Lunch is included for drivers, instructors and volunteers.  Guests may purchase lunch for $7, but please let us know (reserve) in advance so we have enough food for everyone.

Do you want to learn how to better control your car at a higher rate of speed than is legal on public roads? Here's your opportunity to go fast and not worry about getting a ticket in a safe environment. Plus you WILL become a better driver!

All you need to participate in a PDX event is a registered streetcar, valid drivers license, and a helmet (and we have loaners if you need one).

First and foremost, a PDX event is about you driving your car. Our primary focus is the safety of you and your car. Getting you as much seat time as possible with instruction is our next goal, that way you can become more comfortable behind the wheel of your car at speed.

Should I do anything before I arrive at a Track Day (PDX)?

PDX_TECH_SHEET-include with supps.pdf and fill it out prior to the event.  This makes check in easy!

Car and Driver magazine has recently published an excellent guide to preparing for a track day: How To: Go to a Track Day – Feature

If you are not sure your car is ready for the use it will see on a racetrack, we suggest you take your vehicle to a technician who is skilled enough to evaluate your vehicle for track use. You should also plan to bring appropriate “Gear” to the PDX event. Items like extra oil, coolant, tire pressure gauge, sunscreen, umbrella, hat, camera, storage bin or bag, lawn chair, etc.

In addition to getting you and your vehicle prepared for the Track Day (PDX) event, before you arrive at the track, please review the other “Track Day” related pages on this website.

Instructors and volunteers check in at 8am.

Online registration requires payment by credit card or electronic check. The only way to guarantee your spot is to preregister and pay. Your credit card will NOT be charged until you check in and are on the track.

Before registering, please be sure to read the car requirements, especially if you have a convertible. If you have any questions as to whether your car meets the requirements please call David at 651-983-8238

Please review supplemental regulations, schedule, and SCCA Rules prior to registering.

Click TM 2017-Oct-14_PDX_Supplemental_Reg-Final.pdfPDX_TECH_SHEET-include with supps.pdf and you'll have the pdx version of the Supps/tech form and DCTC PDX Schedule-Oct 14-2017-tentative.pdf .

Download the Tech Sheet, fill it in and bring it with--this makes Tech EASY!

NOTE:  Some drivers want to share one car.  Yes, this can be done.  One driver will do a full registration, then email or call Kathy at 763-241-8010, kathy@gillengroup.com with the name of the other person.  Both drivers must have either an SCCA yearly membership OR Weekend Membership.  The second driver fee is $25 plus Weekend Membership of $20 = $45 total.

Kathy will add this to the "Primary Driver account.  If one of the drivers is a beginner, have that person as the Primary.  That way we can make sure we have enough space in classroom and an instructor for you.
