Middle GA SCCA Solo #3- CANCELLED

Henderson Stadium

About this event

Unfortunately we are going to have to cancel Solo #3. It appears that not enough people want to hunt Easter eggs at Autocross. The decision to cancel is driven by the small number of registrations on MotorsportReg. Saying "interested" or "going" on facebook is not considered an official pre-registration. Our small region cannot afford to host events that do not break even financially. This is why pre-registering for events is so important. We usually require at least 12 pre-registrations and assume twice as many people will show up. There are currently 5 pre-registered for this event and since it is a holiday, we cannot make our normal assumption. We also need at least 20 pre-registered for us to open the back for additional parking.

We require 12 participants to host a safe event and 20 to break even financially. We are a nonprofit organization with operating expenses. We have made our requirements based on property rental, SCCA dues, and insurance.

We would like to thank those that did pre-register. We are sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment we may have caused.

Event requirements

Experience required (none)

All levels of experience are welcomed! Those who are new to autocross are encouraged to review the SCCA Solo Cars and Rules. There is also some quick F.A.Q. that would be great to review. If you're a novice, select the Novice Class under PAX on the next screen.

Car Prep

Virtually any car in good mechanical condition can run in a Solo event. Common missteps we find in tech are not having a proper battery tie down, having loose items (subwoofers in particular), and the occasional cord showing on tires. Other high level items for you to check (and we will during tech) are throttle return and brake firmness.

Car Classification

It also helps to know what class you are going to run before the event, and have your car already appropriately marked. For help with this, review the Solo Cars and Rules. Particularly, Appendix A will come in handy, but the larger rule book will outline the modifications allowed in each class. Also, please feel free to contact the registrar for this event. (Listed in the right-hand column)

Placing your class and number on your car can either be done with something more established like vinyl or magnet, but even painters tape will suffice. The biggest requirement is that it be a contrasting color to the car.

Age/License

All competitors must meet the requirements set forth by their driver's license to compete. For example, if you have a learner's permit, and it requires a parent or guardian be in the passenger seat, that requirement must be met during competition

For all of those under the age of 18, a minor waiver must be signed by BOTH parents. Obviously there are exceptions to the both parents rule, and we will mostly go off your word, but be prepared to provide proof if asked.

Work Assignments

All competitors are required to perform work assignments when they're not running. Failure to do so will result in a disqualification. If you have a special circumstance, such as a disability, please make the event staff aware at registration check-in.
