Event requirements

Please verify that you meet at least one of the following conditions before you register for this event:
1) You will be driving a Porsche.
2) You are a PCA member and bringing your non-Porsche car (you have brought your Porsche to a GGR autocross event in the last 12 months)
3) You are a guest of a PCA member AND you have been granted permission to register by the Autocross Chair (autocross@pca-ggr.com)

Do not register unless you meet at least one of the above conditions.  Refunds for erroneous registrations are at the discretion of the Autocross Chair.

ALL drivers, including on-line registrations, MUST CHECK-IN at the registration table before 8:30 am.  This is where you will select your run group, sign up for your worker position, and receive your registration sticker.  Put the registration sticker on your windshield.  Cars without a registration sticker are turned away from the grid and not allowed to run.

ALL drivers MUST WORK at an assigned worker position.  Dress appropriately for standing outside in the weather, which can include rain.

HELMETS ARE REQUIRED with a 2005 or newer Snell certification.  Loaner helmets are available.

CARS WILL BE TECH INSPECTED IN THE PADDOCK before the drivers meeting.  Cars must be mechanically sound, in good running condition with no major leaks, and the interior must be empty of anything that could fly about during the event.  After you have checked in with registration, put your registration sticker on your windshield and prep your car for tech.  Put your helmet on one of the front seats and open all hoods and trunks.  That is the universal signal that your car is ready for a tech inspection by the roving tech inspectors.  If you pass inspection, the tech inspector will close the hoods and put a colored-dot sticker on your windshield.

Tech Inspection Checklist:

General

  • General appearance and safety OK
  • No loose parts
  • Battery secure
  • Faceshield on helmet or goggles if no windshield
  • Snell 2005 or newer helmet
  • Numbers adequately large to be easily visible from a distance

  • 9 turn lug nut engagement
  • Wheel bearings/link pins tight
  • Break pedal firm

Interior & Trunks

  • Factory seat belts or better
  • No tonneau cover
  • No loose objects

If you don't have a permanent number already assigned by GGR, a car number will be automatically assigned to you.  If you've run with us before, you'll likely be assigned the same number.

A list of driver/car# will be emailed to the registrants one day before the event.

For PCA members, we allow their minor children to participate as long as they have a valid driver's license and at least one parent in attendance.  A special waiver form will be required at registration for minors, which must be signed by a parent or responsible adult.

Our events run rain or shine.  Refunds are not given for rain.

DRONES ARE PROHIBITED at PCA events.  Violators will be reported to Law Enforcement.
