This event is co-hosted by Blackhawk Valley and Milwaukee Regions of the SCCA.

It features full SCCA Divisional Races on Saturday and Sunday.  The Divisional Races are part of the CenDiv Path to the Runoffs.

Online registration closes at 11:59pm CDT, June 24. This is also the deadline for cancellation without penalty, and any entries submitted after this date (by mail or at the track) are subject to a $40 late fee. CenDiv Reserved Numbers held until June 13. Driver entries received online within the first 7 days registration is open will have their entry fee reduced by $25.00.

Firecracker Bonneau Double Divisional
Blackhawk Valley and Milwaukee Regions

  1. Double Regional Race, June 27-28, 2015 at Blackhawk Farms Raceway, Rockton, IL.
  2. Regional Sanction No’s: 15-RQ-3567-S and 15-RQ-3568-S
  3. This event is organized by the Blackhawk Valley and Milwaukee Regions, Sports Car Club of America, Inc., (SCCA), and will be held under the current SCCA General Competition Rules (GCR) and official updates, except as modified by these Supplemental Regulations.

  5. The regional races are open to all SCCA Novice Permit holders, to current holders of SCCA Full Competition licenses, and to SCCA members who hold other recognized licenses, per GCR Appendix C.2.8.B and current Fastrack. Blackhawk Farms Raceway is a 1.95 mile course. See official schedule for race grouping and session lengths. On track hours will be per schedule and/or adjusted as needed for race operations.
  6. This is a Runoffs Eligible, Double Regional Race Event, in the CenDiv Championship Series. See official schedule for race groupings, session lengths, on and off track activities, inspections, and meetings.
  7. Registration information
    1. Online registration for this event is available for those entrants using credit cards and e-checks. Please go to msreg.com/firecracker2015 and navigate to the Milwaukee Region form for this event. NOTE: Once you have entered all your personal and car data, it is archived and you will not have to re-enter it for subsequent races.

      You must fill out the entire entry. If you are not registering online, please mail the forms with your payment, by check, to the registrar.

      Add $40 late fee for all entries submitted after June 24, 2015

      A Spec Miata compliance fee may be added.

    3. Entries are not official until the entry form is signed/submitted online (electronic signature accepted), received, paid, and accepted. We are not responsible for entries lost, delayed in transit, or failed emails. Telephone entries will not be accepted. Email entries without a valid credit card number will not be processed. Late fees may be applied in these cases. A $40.00 service fee will be charged for bad/returned/NSF checks and/or refused credit card charges, and the entry will also be considered a late entry. Personal checks, cash, cashier’s checks, traveler’s checks, and Visa/MasterCard will be accepted.
    4. Requests for refund must be made in writing to the Registrar no later than 10 days after the event, Requests for refund beyond 10 days after the event must be made in writing to the Milwaukee Region Board of Directors. A $25.00 cancellation fee applies to all cancellations received after the close of online registration.
    5. Event fees will not be charged or deposited until the weekend of the event. Checks may be processed as e-checks.
    6. In the event multiple competitors with reserved CenDiv numbers are competing in the same race group, the competitor who registers first shall receive the reserved number.

  9. Race results will be per the GCR and FasTrack updates. Trophies will be distributed per chart in GCR 3.6.2. They will be available at Driver Information Center after results become official. No trophies will be mailed.

  11. Other information
    1. Noise pollution regulation: No race car or engine, including showroom cars with open exhaust, shall be run before 8:00AM or after 6:00PM on any weekend day or not before 9:00AM or after 4:30PM on weekdays. The sound limit for this event is 102dB. If your car has three readings in excess of 102dB, and you have a finish, you will be moved to last place finisher overall and lose event points.
    2. No race engines may be run past 15 minutes after the last checkered flag of each day or the time published in the track rules, whichever is later. Cars released from impound or SOMs after that point may restart their engine, drive directly to their paddock (unless otherwise directed), and shut off their engine for the day.
    3. Functioning AMB TRANX 260 transponders properly mounted to the competition vehicle will be required for all classes. Transponder times are official time for all race groups.
    4. The below radio frequencies are reserved for race operations and may not be used by competitors. Race officials reserve the right to designate other frequencies for race administration.

    5. If the fastest qualifier in a race group chooses to start from the “outside pole position” (per GCR), this decision must be conveyed to the Grid Marshal at the front of the field before the 5 minute signal is given for that race group.
    6. Split starts will be at the discretion of the Chief Steward. The Chief Steward must receive a petition within one hour of posting of the final grid.
    7. In addition to GCR 6.6.2., the field shall follow the Pace/Safety car as long as its emergency lights are flashing, even if it varies from the normal race course.
    8. Proper credentials, closed toe shoes, and shirts with sleeves are required in pit lane, grid, and false grid areas.
    9. Drivers may be held responsible for harm to property, including damage to the track and to the environment.  Fees charged for the removal / disposal of hazardous waste or used tires will be assessed to the responsible driver.
    10. All competitors must maintain a slow, prudent speed on pit lane at all times.  Use the transit lane upon reaching and upon exiting your pit stall.  Do not drive through other pit stalls.  Tire scrubbing is permitted after the apex of corner one.
    11. Cars entering the track from the pits must remain to the right of the blend line until the end of that line at turn one.
    12. As the pit lane is narrow, please stop as far to the right as possible for the safety of crew and pit lane personnel.
    13. Four (4) crew members (plus the driver) are allowed over the wall to service a vehicle in pit lane, and only two (2) crew members are allowed over the wall for signaling purposes.  No crew members are allowed at the pit wall during starts and restarts.
    14. Please do not put any equipment in pit lane, including at the pit wall, +/- 10 feet of start / finish, as this may interfere with timing and scoring electronics.
    15. If the Chief Steward allows the substitution of a car or driver, per GCR 5.12.3.A.6, any qualifying times earned for the original car / driver up to that point will be removed.
    16. A competitor involved in contact, or who has violated flag rules (yellow, black, red, or checker) must report directly to impound in the racecar, and report to the Steward of the Course.
    17. During Practice / Warm-Up sessions, competitors will receive the checkered flag at Corner 6 and pit immediately.
    18. All crew members signing in under a prep shop list must be an SCCA member. Weekend memberships are available for purchase if needed.
    19. This is a CenDiv Championship Series points event. Preregistration is encouraged for participation in the series.  Series rules, including regional-only car classes can be found on the CenDiv website at http://www.cendiv-scca.org
    20. All competitors must vacate the premises by 7:00 PM Sunday.
    21. The use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), better known as drones, must be approved prior to the event by the division Executive Steward, Milwaukee Region, and track management. Proof of insurance must be presented prior to approval. 
    22. Blackhawk Farms Raceway rules.
      1. Gate Pass Requirement: A pass indicating you have registered for the event must be presented to the Guard to allow your entry onto the property of Blackhawk Farms Raceway.
      2. All minors must be under direct parental or acting guardian supervision at all times.
      3. All pet animals must be leashed or confined.
      4. No two or three wheeled vehicles are allowed except for race officials’ use or as race support vehicles. Only licensed drivers 16 and above may operate race support vehicles or golf carts.
      5. The Concession Stand will be available. Gas, oil, water and air are available. Souvenirs and other consumables are available in the Pit Stop.
      6. All trash must be placed in receptacles provided. Environmentally hazardous waste must be disposed of in appropriate receptacles. All used tires must be removed.
      7. All drivers and members will be responsible for notifying crews and guests concerning the hours of registration.
      8. Electric power is available. Tags for the outlets will be issued at time of plug-in and payment arrangements can be made either with security or in the Pit Stop.
      9. All drivers, members, officials and spectators must comply with the Pit Vehicle Policy of Blackhawk Farms Raceway; including the purchase and display for a Pit Vehicle Pass for each unit present on the premises. Passes may be purchased at the Pit Stop.

Information Sheet
(Not part of the Supplemental Regulations)

  1. All qualifying times, grids, results, and sound readings will be posted at the Driver Information Center located in the pavilion.
  2. These races are part of the CenDiv Championship Series, and shall be conducted under series rules found at http://www.cendiv-scca.org and the Supps.
  3. No radio-controlled devices may be operated from 8:00AM to 6:30PM.
  4. Skateboards, roller blades and roller skates, motorized skateboards, and non-motorized scooters are prohibited.
  5. The chip fill (apron) along the main access road is available to racers to use at their discretion as long as they are considerate of fellow competitors.  Campsites, including motorhomes and lawn chairs, must be completely on the grass.  The main access road must remain open for emergency vehicles and for two-way traffic.
  6. Please be sure to check your email at least daily the week of the event for last minute important event notifications.
  7. Pace/Safety cars may be used at this event.
  8. Results will be available on the region web sites as soon as possible after the event.
  9. In the event a yellow flag is required for pit lane only, a yellow flag with a board reading “PIT LANE” will be displayed at corner 7. A “PITS CLOSED” sign will be displayed at the same location if the pit lane is totally blocked.
  10. Only one passenger will be permitted in the race car on the victory lap (passenger must be fully inside car).
  11. Make all checks payable to Milwaukee Region SCCA. Entries will NOT be processed without a payment.
  12. Blackhawk Valley Region and Milwaukee Region reserve the right to accept or reject all entries. An entry will not be accepted unless the full entry fee accompanies the entry form. A $25.00 cancellation fee applies to all cancellations.
  13. Credentials for one driver and up to three (3) crew members will be issued at registration. Three additional crew passes and extra guest passes may be purchased for $10.00 each. There is no charge for guest passes for minors 12 and under.
  14. All participants may be required to sign a Blackhawk Farm Raceway waiver prior to entry.
  15. At the time of registration, you must present the following:
    1. Current SCCA membership card or proof of membership.
    2. SCCA Photo ID. Photo ID’s will be available for a nominal fee.
  16. Tire Service: Hoosier Tire Midwest, 574-936-8344, email hoosiertireply@aol.com Preorders should be in by June 19.  He will be at the track with a total of 3 pre orders for a total of 12 tires.
