About this event
The Southeast BMW Brodeo is a three night camp out and driving event in the Appalachian / Smoky Mountain region, comprised of BMW owners and enthusiasts from the Southeast US and beyond. It's a great chance to enjoy the beautiful area as well as some of the best driving roads in the country including US129 Tail of the Dragon, Moonshiner 28, Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherohala Skyway and many others. It's also a great place to meet a plethora of interesting people and spend time with fellow BMW enthusiasts.
The celebration includes random group drives on great roads, plenty of group campfire time, beer, and beautiful wilderness camping.
This Fall, thanks to an incredibly generous sponsorship we will be in the Cabins of Fontana Village Resort. We will do our best to group folks together based on their preferences prior to arrival.
Event registration is $30 per person for the weekend. A paid registration includes lodging for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights as well as an event T-shirt. The price is a flat fee regardless of how many nights you actually stay. Please note the refund policy has changed for this event: No refunds can be given after 10/2/2018. If you register after 10/2/2018, your registration fee is non-refundable.
Due to Halloween falling on a Wednesday night this year, there won't be an OG/Early Bird segment (sorry Greater Jacob), thus no Wednesday night accommodations.
Firewood cost is an unknown this Fall. We hope to have it covered with the registration fee, though please be prepared to contribute to the Burn It All Fund if needed.
***PLEASE NOTE: This is very much an adult-oriented event. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. All attendees are expected to carry a valid drivers license and proof of insurance on any group drives.***
Event requirements
We will be staying at a higher elevation, so plan for Fall/Winter weather conditions. We got a few inches of snow one Fall event and wore shorts the entire time at another, so keep an eye on the forecast leading up to the event. It's always a good idea to bring warm clothes and/or a number of layers.
Don't forget your camp chair! There is typically a group bonfire nightly suitable for cooking, and there will be additional options at the resort.
