MassTuning TrackFest (Oct 2, 2022) CoachingDay

Canaan Motor Club

About this event

Instructors and intermediate/advanced drivers only!

This is an instructor development AND advanced coaching event!

MassTuning TrackFest 2022 Schedule: www.MSReg.com/TrackFest

Instructors as well as intermediate/advanced drivers are invited to attend a development event on Sunday, October 2nd, at Canaan Motor Club. Throughout the day, attendees will receive lots of track time, be part of interactive classroom sessions and participate in instructing activities/role playing.

The purpose of this event is to provide instructors and experienced drivers with an opportunity to level-up their skills, confidence, and experience. Everyone attending the event should expect a full day of intensive driving and learning.

We are also now allowing intermediate/advanced drivers in general to attend for advanced coaching from Nick Fontana at Fontana Racing Coaching so feel free to invite friends.

Anyone who knows Nick will say he's part racer, part instructor and part alien. He'll be leading this event and offering his expertise so definitely try your best to attend!

Attendees should bring their own car, fully prepped for driving with virtually zero time for maintenance or repairs. If possble, cars should be equipped with a passenger seat, properly mounted, ideally with equivalent seat belts and containment protection as the driver side.

Onsite camping is free but anyone interested must arrive by 9pm.

Event requirements

Driver Requirements:

Valid driver's license and closed toe shoes are required. Short pants and short sleeve shirts are allowed.

Drivers must attend the morning driver's meeting. Make arrangements with the event organizer in advance if you absolutely can not make it.

Be alert and pay attention to all flaggers and track officials. If you do not, you will be sent off track. Repeat offenses will result in being ejected from the track.

Track Requirements:

If your car is considered to be too loud, you will be given a warning and asked to either make physical changes to your exhaust or your driving by upshifting earlier to keep RPMs low. This mostly applies to straight-piped, naturally aspirated cars. Silencer inserts can be purchased here: www.carchemistry.com/silencer-insert

If a mechanical failure occurs, in a safe manner pull off the driving line and pavement as quickly as possible.

Keep the facility clean. We operate on a carry in, carry out policy. You are responsible for all of your belongings and trash.

All spills must be cleaned IMMEDIATELY.
