TRSS 10/22/17 @ SAM - Instructor Registration

Saratoga Automobile Museum

About this event

The Saratoga Automobile Museum, Mohawk Hudson Region SCCA and BMW CCA Patroon Chapter invite you to INSTRUCT at our Tire Rack Street Survival School, to be held at the Saratoga Automobile Museum on Sunday October 22, 2017.

THIS SITE IS FOR Tire Rack Street Survival INSTRUCTOR REGISTRATION.  If you are trying to create a student registration, please send an email to Jim Bucci at hdjimbu@gmail.com.

The primary emphasis of the Tire Rack Street Survival® is a "hands-on" driving experience in real-world situations! Students use their own cars to learn about handling limits and car control. The students will become more observant of the traffic situations they find themselves in. They will learn to look far enough ahead to anticipate unwise actions of other drivers. As the students master the application of physics to drive their cars, they will make fewer unwise driving decisions themselves.

This event will take place on Sunday October 22, 2017 at the Saratoga Automobile Museum and in the SPAC Rt. 50 parking lot in Saratoga Springs, NY.  The Museum is located on the grounds of the Saratoga Spa State Park, at 110 Avenue of the Pines.

Please let us know if you have previous experience instructing at Tire Rack Street Survival Schools, performance driving events, car control clinics or autocrosses.  For additional information, please contact Kevin Belden at kgbelden@gmail.com or 518-791-3339.

Event requirements

You will be teaching young drivers some of the car control skills you have acquired over the years, in a one on one environment.  You will be asked during the registration process to provide relevant information about your instructing and performance driving experience.  All instructors are required to have completed, at some point prior to the event, the "Tire Rack Street Survival Training for Coaches" course at...

http://streetsurvival.org/schools/become-a-coach/

If you've already completed this online course prior to a past event, you DON'T need to complete it again, although it's a good refresher in preparation for your role at the event.

Instruction will not require the use of helmets or communicators.
