Test & Tune and Advanced HPDE

Pacific Raceways

About this event

Get Your 2019 Racing and HP Driving Season Started!

Northwest Alfa Romeo Club has been providing fun and informative Performance and Sport Driving events to competetive racers and driving enthusiasts alike at the iconic Pacific Raceways for over 30 years. NWARC would like to invite all SOVREN racers to get a jump on the Spring Sprints weekend with this open lapping and Test-and-Tune opportunity. There will be a dedicated "Closed Wheel" race car group and a separate "Open Wheel" race car group for those wanting to practice, shake down, and test their cars before the race weekend. This event is also open for experienced HP/Sport drivers to register and share their passion for and camaraderie in Sport Driving with NWARC. There will be a combined Advanced/Intermediate group and a separate Novice group for drivers with "Solo" credentials.

Race cars must run as they do within their class/conference with all safety equipment in place and operational. Drivers in the race car groups must have a current racing license from a recognized sanctioning organizationThis event will NOT be timed and it is NOT a competition. Intermediate and Advanced drivers in the HP/Sport group must provide proof of significant experience at Pacific Raceways, and "high" Novice drivers must provide proof of a "Solo" check-off from any recognized club/group/organization. We will check your driver logbook on MSR for instructor notes and documented experience. If you do not have instructor sign-off documented in your MSR logbook, you will receive an email from the event registrar or chief driving instructor. In-car coaches can be provided upon request. Please contact the NWARC chief driving instructor if you have any questions about your qualifications to run in either of these groups: mirko@copperfin.com

The Open Wheel race car group will have a dedicated 1-hour session during lunchtime, for a reduced rate.

There will be a mandatory driver meeting for all drivers before the first session in the morning, and a separate driver meeting for the OW race  car group prior to their Noon start. If you are late or miss either of these driver meetings you will not be allowed on track until you have a conversation with the Chief Driving Instructor. The first two laps of each session in the morning will be pace/warm-up laps under Yellow Flag.

Driver do NOT need to be NWARC members to attend this event (although you are welcome to join http://nwalfaclub.com/club.html), as there is a temporary 1-day "event" membership included in your registration fee that expires at the end of the day.
