The number of registrations for this event has far exceeded our expectations, and some of our budget. While we've increased the capacity to 100 cars, we only have enough full swag bags for 80 registrants, which we now have.
Registrations 81 through 95 will receive some swag, including the coveted commemorative coin and polo, but minus a few things, including the bag itself.
Join your fellow 928 friends for the 5th annual RENDEZVOUS 928 – Sharks Discover Columbus (SDC), on July 20-22, 2023 in Dublin, Ohio.
This year’s Rendezvous will be hosted by the 928 Buckeye Landsharks and conducted simultaneously with the 40th Annual Arthritis Foundation (AF) Classic Auto Show (CAS) and Cruise-In located at Metro Place Business Park, 555 Metro Place North Dublin, OH 43017.
NOTE: This registration is for Rendezvous 928 - Sharks Discover Columbus only. The main part of this event is coincident with the AF CAS on Saturday, 21 July. If you intend to have your 928 on the show field, you must register for that separately (same for the AF Cruise-in on Friday 20 July). Links for those registrations are below. If you're attending Rendezvous and not entering a car in the show, there is a nominal on-site spectator fee. Alternatively, each entered car gets two wristbands, so if you're entered in the show and without a guest, your extra wristband can be gifted to one of our attendees that needs it. We'll can assist with that coordination at Rendezvous check-in at the hotel. Details to follow.
The AF event is the largest premiere Collector Car Auto Show concours type event in the Midwest with over 1,000 vehicles, special displays, VIP components, custom parts & supply vendors, co-located hotels and live entertainment and food vendors. The two-day event plays host to automobiles from Pre-War marques to European exotics and includes an informal Friday Cruise-In followed by the judged Classic Automobile Show (CAS) on Saturday.
This year, Porsche is celebrating their 75th Anniversary and the 45th Birthday of our beloved 928! Porsche is a Featured Marque and our 928s will receive special recognition with the AF’s support of Rendezvous 928 including premiere staging for all 928s at the show entrance!
SDC starts off with a Friday afternoon 928 jaunt to Der Dutchman, an hour west of Columbus. We'll enjoy a delicious buffet of Roast Beef, Country Ham, Broasted Chicken and all the fixins. After lunch, we'll head to Horsepower Farms in Powell, OH, and take a private tour of the ultimate man caves/garages in this closed-gate community for car lovers and their vehicles. Along with the tour we’ll have plenty of time to chill at the club house with liquid refreshments provided. Alternatively, you can attend the AF hosted cruise-in (separate registration at $27 per car – link below). Or, you can sign up for the Cruise-in (starts at noon) and depart whenever you like to join the lunch or garage tours. Lunch will be at 1PM. We plan to depart for BBQ around 1PM. Even you you decied not to attend the Cruise-in, it's a donation to the Artritis Foundation and greatly appreciated.
The AF show will occur on Saturday (separate registration at $32 per car – link below). We expect to be there all day and enjoy on-site live entertainment into the evening. There are five 928 judged classes for the show and the Buckeye Landsharks are also sponsoring three additional awards for Best Overall, Best Daily Driver and a distance award.
The Rendezvous 928 registration fee is $45 per car and must be completed online. There will be no on-site registrations. Each registered car will receive a “Rendezvous 928 – Sharks Discover Columbus” logo emblazoned swag bag filled with an SDC embroidered polo shirt (with the option to order additional shirts), ball cap, koozie, event sticker, and of course, the coveted Rendezvous 928 commemorative coin.
The Buckeye Landsharks are also offering an exclusive limited edition fifth of Buckeye Landshark Bourbon and Limoncello (by Leather and Oak Spirits of Ohio). Both are offered with one-of-a-kind commemorative Rendezvous 928 Sharks Discover Columbus Labels and are available for $60 and $30 respectively. There is a very limited number of each and when they’re gone… they’re gone. You can reserve your bottles now during registration, but cash payment will be collected at event check-in at the host hotel conference room.
The Buckeye Landsharks have arranged a room block at the DoubleTree by Hilton Columbus/Dublin (600 Metro Place North, Dublin, OH 43017). The rate is $159 + tax and the rate is valid until 16 June. Hotel link is below.

928 Owners Club membership is not required to attend Rendezvous 928 - Sharks Discover Columbus, but this is a 928OC sponsored event, so membership is highly encouraged.... and the right thing to do. Go to 928OC.org to join.
