2019 PCA-SVR Autocross School (2-day event)

Registration has reached our maximum capacity.  Registration will put you on the wait-list and we will contact you (3-5) days before ground school if we have any available openings.

PCA-SVR is proud to present the 2019 Niello Ground and Autocross School. 

This is a two part/day event:

  • Day1:  (Saturday, 03/30/2019) Ground School held at Niello Porsche of Rocklin  (MAP)
  • Day2:  (Saturday, 04/06/2019) AX School held at San Joaquin County Fairgrounds, Stockton  (MAP)

If you have an interest in learning how to drive your Porsche at its limits don't miss SVR's Annual Autocross School.

Sign-up early as we expect the Autocross School will fill up fast! It is limited to the first (30) students.

  • Registration (closes at 10:00 pm on Thursday, March 28, 2019), or when limit has been reached
  • Price for the Autocross School and the Autocross (both events) is 
    • $80 for PCA Members and
    • $95 for Non-PCA Members.

Part 1-2:  03/30/2019 Ground School held at Niello Porsche of Rocklin

  • Agenda:  Will be classroom instruction covering car safety, tech inspection, what to expect at event and more ....
    • 9:15 - 9:45 am:  Arrive and check in
    • 10:00 am - 12:00 pm: Instruction
    • 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm:  Lunch Break
    • 12:30 pm  -3:00 pm:  Instruction

Part 2-2:  04/06/2019 AX School held at San Joaquin County Fairgrounds, Stockton

  • Prerequisite:  *** Students must have attended Ground School to participate.
  • Agenda:  After check-in and tech inspection we will have four driving exercises:  Braking, Slalom, Skid Pad, and Turn Exercise. You will be assigned to a group for these exercises. After a short break for lunch, each driver will run the course several times.  All participants will be assigned a driving instructor for the day. More information will be provided as we get closer to the event.
    • 7:00 am:  Gate Opens
    • 7:30 - 8:15 am:  All participants MUST check-in at Registration Trailer
    • 8:00 - 8:30 am:  Cars tech inspected and Instructor-led walk
    • 8:40 am:  Mandatory Drivers meeting and group assignments
    • 9:00 am:  Grid cars to assigned exercise groups
    • 12:00 pm:  Break for lunch
    • 12:30 pm:  Timed Autocross

 

Lunch:  Will be provided at both events

 

Junior Participant Program (JPP)

The JPP allows the fully licensed sons, daughters, nephews, nieces, step-children or grandchildren of PCA members to participate in autocross. The parent or legal guardian of the JPP entrant does not have to be a PCA member if the uncle, aunt, grandparent or step-parent is a PCA member, and this member is in attendance at the event, along with the JPP entrant.

BOTH parents or legal guardian(s) must be present at the event to sign the “Waiver and Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement for Minors in Restricted Areas, Driving or Riding”. If both parents will not be present at the event, a notarized waiver of the parent not in attendance must be provided. The JPP entrant must sign the “Minor’s Assumption of Risk Acknowledgment” form.

What to bring:

  • A Big Smile on your face
  • Extra snacks & drinks as applicable.  (The club does provide lunch and bottled water)
  • Folding Chair 
  • Painter's tape or printed numbers for car numbers
  • Sunscreen, hat, layers for cooler mornings (NO RED Clothing) 

Please Note: 

  • All drivers MUST WORK at an assigned worker position.  The majority of worker positions require standing for approximately one hour per shift and we do not guarantee a seated position to anyone.  Dress appropriately for standing outside in the weather.
  • HELMETS ARE REQUIRED with a 2005 or newer Snell certification.  Loaner helmets are available at no charge
  • Instructors are available at no charge
  • No drones allowed
  • No Alcohol or drugs permitted!!!

Know the Rules:  Rules, Car Classes and what you can expect at an autocross can be found on the PCA Zone 7 website.  Please review them here  to get acquainted.  (Note:  The rules will be updated  - late January of each year.  Please review the updated rules when they are available)

Please Note:  For the Autocross driving school portion all students will compete under the (FUN) class.  Times will be captured, but no year end points collected.
