Shenandoah’s New Kent Scenic and Winery Tour

The Shenandoah Region PCA invites you to join us on Saturday, March 21 for an exhilarating early springtime drive down the New Kent Highway (Va. 249) past fields, forests, and fences to the exquisite Saudé Creek Vineyards {http://saudecreek.com/}.

 We begin at Maria’s Pizza and Italian Eatery {http://www.mariaspizzanewkentva.com/} in Quinton, VA (near Bottom’s Bridge) for refreshment, snacks, and socializing.  We then set off along one of the Tidewater’s loveliest byways, past the New Kent Winery {http://newkentwinery.com/} where, in September, Classics on the Green is held (return there later on your own if you wish), on to the picturesque village of New Kent Courthouse with its colonial buildings, small museum, and Rose and Crown Tavern {http://www.nkroseandcrown.com/} (best English pub in Eastern VA – also return if you wish), and on up and over rolling rises and around curves to the turnoff to Saudé Creek Vineyards.  From the winery, where we may do tastings or order Scottish and other specialties à la carte, there is an exquisite view of the tidal reaches of the Pamunkey River.  Following our stop there, participants may on their own proceed farther eastward toward Williamsburg (a twenty-minute drive) or return home.

This registration is to obtain headcounts for the venues. You will pay for your own purchases.  Registration will close on Friday, March 20 at 11:59 PM.

This event will be held rain or shine.  Severe weather will cancel.
