Welcome to the 18th Annual MINIs Slay the Sleeping Dragon! For 18 years our club members and friends have been poking the sleeping dragon and enjoying the fall colors.
This event is now open for registrations. The registration fee is $15 per MINI.

MINIs Slay the Sleeping Dragon is a gathering of MINIs old and new, at picturesque Fontana Village at Deals Gap, NC. Masses of MINIs will be attending to Slay the Dragon! MSSD will be held on Friday through Sunday, October 9th through 11th. This is a laid back event which will have time for fellowship and driving! There will be something for everyone! We have a group rate on a block of lodge rooms and a number of cabins.
This years Friday October 9th evening event will be completely different from past years. Due to the continuing COVID concerns, we will NOT be hosting a large gathering meal. We suggest that you get with a FEW friends and make arrangements at one of the local (Bryson City, Robbinsville, Nantahala) restaurants. Please be respectful of any local restrictions / regulations that may be in place at the time of the event.
We will meet at 4:30pm on Friday in the Ingles Grocery Store parking lot (76 Hughes Branch Rd, Bryson City, NC) and do the following:
First - we will be meeting at 4:30 in the Ingles Grocery Store parking lot where we will pass out T-shirts and make run announcements. We ask that you do a "drive-through" check-in at the registration vehicle / tent to pick up your registration bags that will include any t-shirts, swag or other info. Then, proceed to the parking lineup, leaving 1 space between every car.
Second - at 5:15, we will have some quick announcements in the parking lot. Again, due to COVID concerns, we ask that you stand by your vehicle while we make the announcements.
Third - You can leave with your SMALL group to go to dinner. The fun runs start on Saturday morning!

PRE-REGISTRATION is very important. It will let us know how many cars to plan for. It will also allow us to send out important information by email all those who register as the event gets closer. If you are at least 75% sure you are coming, please register today, you can always cancel at a later date.
Shirts for this event are to be pre-paid during registration. The cut-off date to purchase shirts is September 23rd. You will pick up your shirts Friday night at the Ingles Grocery Store parking lot before we head to dinner or at Fontana Village during the weekend.
Will you be bringing more than one MINI? You will be able to "add another vehicle" in your account after you complete the registration.

Event requirements
Shirts will be handed out from 4:30-5:00 at the Ingles Grocery Store parking lot, 76 Hughes Branch Rd, Bryson City, NC or at Fontana Village during the weekend. All men's shirts are regular cut. The ladies shirts are all a short sleeve v-neck. This year's shirt is Dark Green.
