Join us in early April for our first Drive & Dine event of the year!

When: Saturday, April 13, departing between 10:00 and 10:30 am from the South Riding, VA area.

Where: Rally point to be provided to registrants.

What: A scenic drive through Northern Virginia back roads past field and farm, water and woods to Flint Hill, VA for our visit to the Dark Horse Irish Pub, a casual dining restaurant and serves as the local social gathering place for everyone. It is in a renovated 1800s home with several cozy dining rooms, outdoor seasonal seating, and featuring the “Cheers Like” pub where locals gather, and passers-by come to dine on an eclectic mix of menu items.  We should arrive around 11:30 – 11:40 am.

Costs and Arrangements: $48 per person to cover the cost of your lunch, including a non-alcoholic drink, tax, gratuity, service fees,  The Pub is proud of their “Pub Fare with Flair.” The menu features home-style cooked meals and pub favorites using fresh ingredients and local products. We will have a preset menu of several delicious entrees for you to choose when you register:

  • Fish & Chips - Beer Battered Atlantic Cod with French Fries, Coleslaw, and Tartar Sauce
  • Shepherd’s Pie - Traditional Ground Lamb, Peas, Carrots, House-made Gravy, and Whipped Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes
  • Dark Horse Burger - Angus Beef, Brioche Bun, Arugula, Sauteed Onion, Tomato, and Garlic Mayo
  • Lamb Burger -  Caramelized Onion, Feta, Cucumber, and Garlic Mayo
  • Veggie Burger - Boyond burger, Dubliner Irish Cheddar , Spinach, Tomato, Red Onion, Mayo
  • Rueben Sandwich 
  • Dark Horse House Salad - House Salad; Choice of Chicken, Shrimp, Salmon, or Steak
  • Dark Horse Caesar Salad - Romaine Lettuce, Parmesan, Crouton and Classic Caesar Dressing; Choice of Chicken, Shrimp, Salmon, or Steak
  • Buffalo Chicken Flatbread - Blue Cheese Bechamel & Arugula
  • House Vegetables Flatbread - Mushroom & Truffle Oil
  • Pepperoni Flatbread


Many imported beers are on tap along with a nice selection of Virginia wines and a fully stocked bar.  Alcohol is not included in the registration fee.  Several dining rooms will be reserved to accommodate up to 44 people. In addition, guests will have access to the tap room and the veranda.  Ample parking is available behind the restaurant.

Following lunch, we will drive to the Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery in Delaplane, VA, where we will a enjoy a spacious venue, scenic hilltop views, not to mention delicious wines.   See general information here: Blue Valley Winery

Event requirements

TIME OF PAYMENT - When you register you will not initially be charged the $48 per person fee.  We will charge your credit card two weeks prior to the event.  After your card is chared, no refunds will be given unless we are able to confirm another guest from the waitlist in your place.

We will be departing from a location near Manassas, VA. An insurance waiver will need to be signed online for all participants. Information on how to do this will be emailed to you prior to the event. All registered attendees will be provided a link so they can complete a virtual waiver online and via their smartphone, and all registered drivers with completed waivers will receive meeting point instructions and rules the week before. A drivers’ meeting will be held at the rally point prior to departure.

An electronic version of the latest Drive & Dine rules, maps, and directions will be provided, for which you will be responsible for printing as needed. Please advise in advance if you do not have a printer. A hard copy will be provided for you as needed.

Members are encouraged to bring a Porsche, but may bring an interesting, alternative, but suitable vehicle.

APPLICATIONS/ACCEPTANCE

  • Registrants will be limited to two persons per party so we can maximize the number of parties that can attend, given the limited capacity.
  • PCA Potomac Drive & Dine rules will be followed for the safety of all participants. (Discussed at the drivers’ briefing). Watch the website for revisions.
  • You will be notified of your status by email. You are responsible for updating your profile on the motorsportreg.com (MSR) website to include your current contact information.
  • We initially list all registrants as “New”, or "Waitlisted" if the event is filled to capacity. When possible, we will change your status as soon as possible. We will provide formal notification of acceptance into the event by email prior to an event. If you haven’t received any notification, check the MSR website for your status.
  • IF YOU CANNOT PARTICIPATE, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CANCEL.

CANCELLATION

  • If you must cancel, please be courteous and cancel as soon as you can to allow others from the waitlist to attend.
  • If you cannot cancel online, you must notify the Registrar by email and receive an ACKNOWLEDGEMENT by email to verify that have you been canceled.
