Summer time in the Cascades, what could be better?! This mid-week tour in August is designed to take advantage of lighter traffic, both on the road and at Crystal Mountain. This is a great alternative to fighting the crowds at Sunrise and Paradise on Mt Rainier. We tried that a couple years ago and it was a disaster for parking and crowds. We will travel some back roads in the south before taking Hwy 410 and Crystal Mountain Blvd up to the parking lot. There attendees can either choose to take the gondola up to the top of Crystal Mountain, hike up on top and even hike all the way back down to the base area and/or eat lunch at the Summit Restaurant--the highest restaurant in Washington. For those who don't want to take the time to go up on top, there are picnic tables set up at the base area where you can bring your own picnic lunch and just enjoy the view. Of course there are hiking trails starting at the bottom as well. You can even hike all the way to the top if you have several hours to spend!
We'll start this tour a little later than most since it will not be a long drive. Show time at the Auburn Outlet Collection Mall across from McDonalds from 9:00 - 9:30, driver's meeting at 9:30 and first group departure at 10 AM.
Rates for the gondola ride up and back on Thursday, Aug 8th are discounted at $12 for seniors 70 and older, $18 for youth from 13-22 and $20 for adults 23-69. This is the online rate so book online since rates at the window may be slightly higher. We are not getting a group reservation due to not everyone being in the same age category. As an estimate, please indicate which option you choose--picnic at the base or gondola to the top.
Registrants for this tour need to be flexible with their availability since this tour will be moved to another date if the weather is forecast to be bad on Aug 8th--no use going to the mountains if you can't see anything!

Tour Requirements:
- Cancelations and refunds: Cancelations must be made before Aug 6th..
- Car club membership: To participate you must be a member of the PCA and should also be a member of PNWR. Porsche owners who are not members may register and receive a special invitation on a case-by-case basis.
- Non-Porsches on the Tour: Non-Porsches are not allowed on this tour due to the fact that we are back into our regular tour season.

For Adult participants and attendees: The waiver of liability release form must be signed at the tour start point prior to departing on the tour. Minors have a separate waiver form (Minors as Observers Only) that must be signed by a parent or guardian who is present at the tour start point or have the minor waiver notarized and brought to the start point.
- Age and driver's license restrictions: All drivers must be at least 18 years old and in possession of a valid US driver's license at the time of the Tour. A driving permit is not acceptable.
- Registering for Passengers: Please make sure to include the names of any passengers riding with you in the space provided during registration. If you have two cars on the tour each car and driver should register with a separate MotorsportReg account.
