Lane County Covered Bridges Tour
Achtung! The Covered Bridges Drive has changed. Please note the start location is at Mosby Creek Trailhead near Cottage Grove. The change of the route is due to the closure of Auferheide Drive. The Terwilliger Fire last year destroyed the area and crews are cleaning up the burned up debris.
The tour route may have changed but there is still an amazing drive this year. We will see 8 covered bridges! Lane County has some of the best covered bridges in Oregon. Driving from bridge to bridge we will take in the beauty of the area and drive on some amazing ribbons of road.
From Cottage Grove we’ll drive around Dorena Lake, and then head North and East to Dexter. We’ll take in the beauty of the Middle Fork Willamette River as it passes at our side. Next stop is the quaint town of Oakridge for lunch. After lunch we will see Westfir, Lowell and the Fall Creek area for the 8th and final covered bridge. You don’t want to miss this one.

12:15 Lunch as a group at Matzatlan Mexican Restaurant (other restaurant options are available in Oakridge)
3:00PM End of Tour South of Eugene (I-5 & OR-58)
Register for the event at the link below (you MUST register in order to participate) and then meet up with us at Mosby Creek Trailhead at 10AM. At 10:15AM we will have a MANDATORY drivers meeting where the Tour Leader will talk about the drive. We will have lunch in Oakridge around 12:15pm for about an hour. The tour ends South of Eugene around 3PM near I-5.
Event requirements
BMW CCA insurance requires all drivers be current BMW CCA members. However, first time non-member drivers who have not yet participated in any prior drives/tours with us are permissible and we do encourage participation so you can see what our Club is all about! Any non-members may accompany as passengers. All participants (drivers and passengers) must sign the insurance waiver before departure.
