Instructors who mentor a participant and would like to participate in a run group can register for $120 which includes meals, social event, and a run group. Non-driving instructors can register at zero-cost and will not participate in a run group. All instructors will be contacted and approved by our Chief Driving Instructor prior to being confirmed for this event.

Eligibility:
This event is open to all women, 18+ years of age with a valid driver's license. No prior on-track driving experience required. Participants will be required to sign all appropriate waivers. Guys are more than welcome to instruct and support. We hope you’ll join in on the fun. If you are registering as an Instructor, you will be vetted and approved by the Accelerating Change team prior to being confirmed to participate. Accelerating Change reserves the right to approve and reject as needed.

Cars, Helmets, and Clothing:
Participants must provide their own cars, and cars must pass tech inspections. All car marques are welcome. No high centre-of-gravity SUVs, trucks, minivans or large sedans.
Participants should provide their own helmet which must be certified Snell 2010 or newer.  We highly recommend all helmets be SA2010 or newer, however, M2010 or newer will be accepted. All head and neck devices used in conjunction with 5 or 6 point harnesses must use SA2010 or newer HANS anchored helmets.  Foam neck collars or 'doughnuts' are strictly prohibited.
Footwear must be enclosed, non-slip, with a relatively smooth sole. Hiking-type deep-lugged soles are not acceptable.

Advanced registration is mandatory; there will be no same-day sign-ups. Participants who wish to arrive the night before should seek accommodations independently.

Scott Mann, Chief Driving Instructor will be approving and leading instructors.

Event requirements

IMPORTANT STUFF

1.   Registration is critical -- priority for instructor allocation and acceptance into this limited event is decided by date of registration. In the unfortunate event that you register but we don’t have an available instructor or place available, you will not be charged for registration or a cancellation fee. Your credit card is not charged at the time of registration. It will be charged on a space-available basis as we confirm you in to the event and prior to the event taking place. Registration does not guarantee track time. You must sign all waivers and comply with the rules of the event to qualify.

2.   While instructors may be male or female, the invitation to attend as a driver is extended to women-only for this event.

3.   You will be assigned an instructor unless:

  • You update your MotorsportReg.com profile with your track driving experience (i.e. # of events driven, tracks driven, OK to solo by whom and when), or
  • You have been signed off  “OK to Solo” by Scott Mann, Chief Driving Instructor

4.    You must present a completed safety inspection form and a valid driver’s license during the sign-in at the track. Accelerating Change will assign and supply sticky numbers for your car which attach to the glass of your windshield and rear window. Please find our Tech Inspection form here.

5.  Novices are required to attend our Event Safety Briefing:

Event Safety Orientation: Thursday, November 07, 2019 — 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Venue: Michelin Suite in the Tower of the Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta located at 5300 Winder Hwy, Braselton, GA 30517

This will focus on information for first-time drivers but will be relevant to all participants.

6.  Final event details, schedules, and instructions will be emailed to you about 3 days before the event.

7.  All registered participants will be provided lunch. Breakfast and lunch are available for purchase for all guests.

8.  If you are sharing a car with someone, you both need to register separately. The registration form has a section where you can provide your car-sharing details.

9. Helmets are required and participants must provide their own helmet which must be certified Snell 2010 or newer. We highly recommend all helmets be SA2010 or newer, however, M2010 or newer will be accepted. All head and neck devices used in conjunction with 5 or 6 point harnesses must use SA2010 or newer HANS anchored helmets. Foam neck collars or 'donuts' are strictly prohibited.
