About this event
Sunday 27 September, 9am
Save the date and plan to join in the fun of our first 2020 Time Speed Distance (TSD) Rally on Sunday 27 September, following a lower-island course.
This is a team event where each car has a driver and a navigator, the driver and navigator may swap between rally legs. It will be a family friendly event on paved public roadways operating at/below posted speed limits.
This is the fourth of what was seen as a very enjoyable event last fall and is suitable for both two and four door Porsches. Our objective is to have fun and we have very experienced rally drivers/instructors to show us the way.
The rally will start and end in Duncan. There will be a number of short legs ("regularity stages"), allowing time to chat between and learn from our instructors led by rally enthusiast Klaus Kreye. If you have any questions or need help getting set up, please contact Klaus: rally@virpca.org
The start point, and Driver’s Meeting, will be outside the Starbucks, 350 Trunk Rd, Duncan, there will be a lunch stop at Bridgemans, Port Renfrew and the end point will be in Duncan – location to be advised.
Everyone MUST be present for the start of registration at 9am SHARP, with the Driver’s Meeting at 9:30, and Car Zero will depart at 10am.
As you will be timed when you pass certain check points along the route, removable numbers will be affixed to your car for the event. We have these decals specially made so that they will not damage the paint finish when removed. You might even want to name your team!
The rally cost is $40 per car.
Depending on BC health protocols in place, electronic PCA waivers may be used, further details will be provided.
