2019 Springtime West Coast Drive

Come join a beautiful three-day, two-night drive to Vancouver Island west coast. Our journey will start in Ladysmith (10:00am), through Cedar, bypassing Nanaimo, through Lantzville and onto Port Alberni for lunch (1pm) after which, we continue to Ucluelet for two night stay at Black Rock Oceanfront Resort.

On Saturday, we will drive to Tofino for sightseeing and an optional hike. Saturday night we have a private dinner for our group in the Wine Cellar at Black Rock resort. Sunday we will have brunch (choice of 9:30am or 11am) at Heartwood Kitchen in Ucluelet.  

For those coming from the north of the Island, you can of course meet at Ladysmith or meet in Parksville at NoXcuses Motorsports Experience and Cafe #1 464 Island Highway East, Parksville (location of Mid-Island Sunday Coffee meetings) at 11:30am to sign the PCA waivers. Please indicate on the registration form if you will want to meet in Ladysmith or at the NoXcuses Motorsports.

The cost will be $75 per person and that includes the dinner at Black Rock Saturday night and the Sunday brunch at Heartwood Restaurant in Ucluelet. Those 2 meals and coffee/teas are included, for everything else, attendees must pay the establishments.

Note: There is a limit of 25 cars/couples, i.e. 50 people max.  The Black Rock Resort are holding 25 rooms for us at super rates and attendees are responsible for those bookings and payments directly with the resort. Call them at 1-877-762-5011 and mention the Porsche Club of course to get those rates.

To assist the restaurants in their food ordering, attendees must indicate their choice on the registration form, they are as follows (and will be shown again on the registration form):-

1.  Friday May 31st, 1pm Little Bavaria, 3035 4 Ave. Port Alberni - food not-included

Attendee must pay restaurant for lunch.   -  (Street Parking)

• Roasted Chicken Supreme, mashed potatoes, market vegetables, celeriac, au jus
• 6 oz Sirloin Steak, charred tomatoes, jus, crispy onions and market vegetables
• Polenta, vegetable caponata, seasonal vegetables and celeriac puree
• Pan Seared Red Snapper, lemon gremolata, rosemary fingerling potatoes and market vegetables

 

3.  Sunday June 2nd, 9:30 or 11am, Heartwood Kitchen Restaurant, 1682 Penninsula Rd.Ucluelet - food included
