About this event
There is a $40 fee per person for this Autocross event.
Field will be limited to 50 drivers.
There will be a volunteers meeting at 7:30 am on Sunday October 14th. Anybody wishing to volunteer or do a particular job please let me know by email competition@virpca.org
Volunteer Positions to fill:
- Timer x 2
- Vehicle inspectors x 3
- Course set-up x 4
ALL volunteers are guaranteed a driving spot.
Schedule
- Tech starts at 8 - 9 am
- Course walk As soon as course is set.
- Drivers meeting 10 am
- On track activities before 10:30 am
- Group A 10:30 – 11:30 am
- Group B 11:30 – 12:30 pm
- Around 12:30pm we will break for lunch and the Chili Competition (more details on the Chili Challenge below).
- After lunch, both groups A and B will have another driving session.
We are inviting other clubs, (Corvette and VMSC).
Chili Competition (open to Porsche Club members)
It’s that time of year! The Club Chili Challenge will be held at lunch time during our autocross. We will have some of our repeat chefs and hopefully some brave new chefs to take on the challenge and compete for the coveted trophy. We will be serving several kinds of chili, with buns and drinks. The goal is to feed our competitors and spectators, all the while raising money for charity. This year it is the Island Kids Cancer Association https://www.ikca.ca/ , which provides much needed practical support for children with cancer and their families on our Island. If you would like to participate as a chef, or have any questions, please contact Michael (secretary@virpca.org).
Event requirements
Cars will need to be tech inspected before or at the event and SNELL or FIA rated helmets are required, (there should be ‘loaners’ available).
